At a time when public school budgets are in tatters and larger classroom sizes are making it tougher for teachers to provide individual help, Khosla's nonprofit CK-12 Foundation holds the promise of a double-barreled solution: online digital textbooks in primarily math and science, and exercises that are customizable, adorned with videos and other interactive features, and which cost schools nothing.

I Brent:
When we were on the Board, I checked on Amazon to see what one of our earth science books cost-it was something like $185 per copy; at that time, I believe the state paid for K-Ls books so no one really asked what they cost as they were free-hee hee.

PS Go Ron Paul--he delivers!

It would be nice to live in a world where Ron Paul could be president.
In the real world, however, Ron Paul should be kept far from the levers of power.

Agreed!
But a good deal of the stuff he says makes sense.
I particularly liked his statement: And all that money we send to other countries always ends up in the wrong hands!

BB - I agree...I have a strong libertarian streak in my soul, but I don't want Ron P anywhere near the "levers of power".

I watched his interview AT 9pm
ON CNN last night. I thought it was quite good.
I am wondering if he will change the dynamics of the candidates or party. Certainly I hope he can convince the Republican Party Faithful not to send money to a colony on the moon as it would surely get in the wrong hands!

Yep...I seriously doubt building a colony on the moon would be in Ron P's platform.
